Setting Up and Installing Your Kadence Child Theme

1. Before You Begin

A few important steps to complete before starting the installation:

• Update Your Website
  Make sure your site is running the latest version of WordPress.
• Check Your Editor
  If you’re using the “Classic Editor” plugin, uninstall it or enable the Block Editor in the plugin settings.
  Kadence is built for the Block Editor and is not compatible with the Classic Editor.
• Existing Content
  If your site already has content, installing the theme will import demo blog posts.
  Consider pausing any RSS-to-email feeds before installation.
  After setup, you can delete the demo posts and restart your feed.

2. Installing Kadence Framework

1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes.
2. Click Add New.
3. Search for Kadence in the theme search bar.
4. Click Install, then click Activate once installation is complete.

3. Installing the Child Theme

1. Go to Appearance > Themes.
2. Click Add New, then Upload Theme.
3. Upload the file named [childthemename]-Creativiststudio.zip.
4. Click Install Now, then click Activate.

There are two ways to access the Kadence Starter Templates library:

Option 2:
You’ll find the Starter Templates section in the top left of your WordPress dashboard.
Click on Site Assist, then on Starter Templates, and select Creativist Studio from the dropdown menu in the top right corner.

Option 1:
Go to the Plugins page. Under Kadence AI Starter Templates, click View Template Library.

Once you’re in the library:

1. Under Choose Experience, select Creativist Studio.
2. Click the thumbnail preview of your child theme homepage.
3. Click Finish and Launch. The import process may take up to 5 minutes.

4. Finish Setup

That’s it! You can now start customizing your website and making it your own.
